Jean-Guy's Story
Jean-Guy LeBlanc
Executive Team Coach |
Jean-Guy LeBlanc started his career in the advertising business, leading improvement projects at an ad agency. He soon realized that getting a management team, and 20+ employees, aligned to improve customer service and grow the company was harder and more stressful than he thought.
He set out to find a solution. His travels took him to England to work in the corporate banking sector. He then completed a business degree at the University of Toronto, specializing in strategy and organization design. But he didn't find the holistic, integrated approach he was looking for. Jean-Guy slowly pulled the pieces together as an internal consultant working in strategic planning and improving organizational effectiveness in a couple of mid-sized Canadian financial companies. This branched out into developing managers, advising on leading change, measuring and building employee engagement and leading strategy execution planning and monitoring. Through those experiences, he saw how confusing and disjointed these leadership practices are, how ineffective they can be if done in a vacuum, and how difficult they are to implement. Above all, he saw how frustrated and stressed out CEOs and executive leaders were as a result. And he was too. So, he decided to bring the frameworks and processes together to make it simpler. In 2011, Jean-Guy formed what is now Wellspring Growth Systems, working with owners and leaders of privately-owned companies, offering a more integrated and simpler approach to improving and growing their top team, company and life. And now, he works with the Scaling Up system and Gravitas Impact Premium Coaches' 7 Attributes of Agile Growth to make it even more integrated and simpler for CEOs of mid-sized growth companies and their top teams. |
